Armonica Technologies, Inc. is an Albuquerque-based biotechnology company commercializing an innovative DNA nanopore sequencing technology for precision medicine research applications developed at the University of New Mexico. They have recently announced their $2M Series B round and contributors include local venture capital firms Cottonwood Technology Fund, Sun Mountain Capital, and Tramway Venture Partners and a lighting company based out of Japan called Hamamatsu Photonic K.K. Armonica was also awarded a $350,000 SBIR grant earlier this year from the NIH’s National Human Genome Research Institute to support further development of their technology.
