A local video game startup, Faena, has been gaining momentum in 2023. The startup is developing a narrative-based, language-learning video game with the goal of bringing life back to language learning. They recently received a $10,000 grant through Dove Chocolate’s InstaGrants program which is focused on supporting women entrepreneurs and their business ideas or established businesses. Last week they also opened a crowdfunding campaign on Indigogo with a goal of $20,000 to support the development of the first chapter of the game.
