Cecilia (Pacheco) Becenti was recently inducted into the Albuquerque Business First’s 40 Under 40 Class of 2024. Every year a cohort of outstanding young professionals are highlighted for going above and beyond in their careers and for the support they provide to their communities.
Cecilia Pacheco Becenti serves as the Program Manager for the New Mexico Tribal Entrepreneurship Enhancement Program (NMTEEP). Funded by an American Rescue Plan Economic Adjustment Assistance (ARPA) grant administered by the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA), the program seeks to create broader opportunity, wealth and job growth through enhancing entrepreneurship in tribal communities throughout New Mexico, especially those effected by coal mine closures.
In addition to her role at UNM Rainforest Innovations, she also supports her community by serving as a madrina for the New Mexico Chapter of MANA, a national Latina organization focused on empowerment through education and community service. She is also a member of the Alumni Council for the University of New Mexico Anderson School of Management where she serves as a mentor, advisor and advocate.
Congratulations to Cecilia for this tremendous accomplishment and for all her work to make the NMTEEP program a success!
