A proposed $45 million development in Downtown Albuquerque could create new infrastructure for the city’s growing science and technology sector. Noblespace, the LA-based real estate developer, is proposing two three-story buildings with flexible work and laboratory space. The project would also include public gathering spaces, a café and event space.
The project is planned for a vacant property northwest of Lomas and Broadway boulevards, with close proximity to the Lobo Rainforest Building. The proposal builds on Noblespace’s involvement in multiple local projects supporting economic development in the city, including InnovateABQ, the 7-acre innovation district in the heart of downtown Albuquerque. They were also instrumental in the development of the Roadrunner Quantum Lab (RQL) powered by the State of New Mexico.
The proposal for the new hub has not been officially selected by the City of Albuquerque, and the selection process and negotiations are expected to continue through approximately June 2027. If Noblespace is selected and the project receives all necessary approvals, they target completion of the project in the first quarter of 2029.
