Hear from one of UNM’s most prolific innovators, Steven R.J. Brueck, PhD, on the importance of disclosing inventions and protecting intellectual property at the University of New Mexico through the technology transfer office, UNM Rainforest Innovations (UNMRI)
Dr. Brueck is a distinguished professor emeritus in the department of electrical and computer engineering and director emeritus at the Center for High Technology Materials. He joined the faculty at the University of New Mexico in 1985 and in 1986 he was appointed director of the Center for High Technology Materials. In 2006 he was named a distinguished professor, in 2010 he was selected as the first Rainforest Innovation Fellow, in 2013 he was an inaugural recipient of the UNM Presidential Award of Distinction, in 2015 he was elected a Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors (NAI), and in 2020 he received the Lifetime Achievement Innovation Award by UNMRI.
