The New Mexico Technology Council (NMTC) has announced the recipients of the 2025 New Mexico Women in Tech Awards, celebrating women who have demonstrated exceptional innovation, leadership, and community impact within the state’s technology sector. Among the honorees is Shuya Wei, PhD, Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical & Biological Engineering at the University of New Mexico and co-founder of Flow Aluminum, Inc. Dr. Wei’s recognition highlights her outstanding contributions to both academia and industry.
The Women in Tech Awards will be held on March 13, 2025, at the National Hispanic Cultural Center, where Dr. Wei and her fellow awardees will be celebrated for their remarkable achievements.

Albuquerque, New Mexico — Jan 15, 2025: The New Mexico Technology Council is proud to announce the recipients of the 2025 New Mexico Women in Tech Awards. For 17 years, the awards have celebrated the exceptional women in New Mexico’s tech industry who are advancing their fields. This year’s awardees are honored for their innovative drive, professional excellence, mentorship of other women, and positive contributions to their communities.
The awardees will be celebrated during the 2025 Women in Tech Awards Ceremony on March 13, 2025, at the National Hispanic Cultural Center. This event brings together over 600 attendees from across the local tech ecosystem and includes a pre-show networking reception and awards ceremony highlighting the awardee’s accomplishments.
