Business/Research Background

Dr. Raissy is a Professor and Vice President for Research at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences.  She graduated from the UNM College of Pharmacy and joined the Department of Pediatrics in 2001 after completion of a fellowship in pediatric pulmonary and pharmacotherapy at the UNM School of Medicine.

She has been the principle investigator for more than 100 clinical trials including NHLBI funded Asthma Networks.  Currently, she is the Director of Network Capacity at the Clinical and Translational Science Center (CTSC) and Co-PI for adults and pediatric RECOVER study – a NIH funded study to learn about Post-Acute Sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 infection (PASC).

Particular Knowledge and Skills

Dr. Raissy is the recipient of the UNM Health Sciences Research Excellence Award in Clinical Science (2020), College of Pharmacy Research Excellence Award (2022) and UNM Alumni Research Award (2023).
