UNM Rainforest Innovations

Following her appointment as Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs, Barbara Rodríguez will continue serving on the UNM Rainforest Innovations Board of Directors.

Rodríguez has served as interim provost since July 2025 and based on the recommendation of new UNM President Steve Goldstein she was formally appointed. She was selected following a national search conducted in partnership with executive search firm Isaacson Miller. Qualified finalists from across the country participated in open forums with faculty, staff, students and community members who were able to engage directly and provide feedback.

As provost, Rodríguez brings leadership in academic affairs, research, faculty development, and student success, providing valuable insight to the Rainforest Innovations Board as it advances innovation and technology commercialization at UNM.
